POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the accurate receiving, inspection, storage, tracking, control, and distribution of materials, parts, components, equipment, and supplies used in the Company's boat manufacturing operations.
This position supports production by ensuring that incoming materials are properly checked and recorded, inventory movements are accurately maintained, and materials requested by Riggers and other Production Departments are prepared, recorded, and delivered in a timely manner.
The Warehouse Associate works closely with Production, Riggers, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, and Administration to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure the availability of materials required for production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - RECEIVING AND INCOMING MATERIAL CONTROL
· Receive all incoming materials, parts, components, equipment, and supplies.
· Physically inspect incoming materials upon receipt.
· Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing lists, and other receiving documentation.
· Verify quantities, part numbers, descriptions, and general condition of received items.
· Identify damaged, missing, incorrect, or non-conforming materials and promptly report discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor and/or Purchasing Department.
· Ensure received materials are properly identified, labeled, recorded, and stored in the correct warehouse location.
· Maintain accurate receiving documentation and enter required information into the Company's computer/inventory system.
INVENTORY TRANSACTIONS AND MATERIAL ISSUES
· Accurately record all incoming and outgoing inventory transactions in the Company's computer/inventory system.
· Maintain accurate records of all materials issued from the warehouse.
· Ensure every material withdrawal is recorded and, when applicable, assigned to the correct boat, job, work order, project, or department.
· Process material returns from Production and ensure returned quantities are recorded and placed back into inventory.
· Maintain accurate inventory quantities and warehouse locations.
· Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
· Investigate and promptly report inventory discrepancies.
· Help ensure that physical inventory corresponds to inventory records in the Company's system.
MATERIAL CONTROL AND ISSUING PROCEDURE
· All materials required by Riggers, Production Departments, or other employees must be requested from the Warehouse Associate.
· The Warehouse Associate must pick and prepare the requested materials and verify the correct part number and quantity before release.
· All materials leaving the warehouse must be issued and delivered by the Warehouse Associate.
· Riggers, Production employees, and other personnel are not authorized to independently remove materials, parts, or supplies from warehouse inventory.
· Before releasing materials, the Warehouse Associate must accurately record the inventory transaction in the Company's computer/inventory system.
· Whenever applicable, materials must be charged or assigned to the correct boat, job, work order, project, or department.
· The Warehouse Associate must ensure that the physical quantity issued corresponds to the quantity recorded in the inventory system.
· Unused materials returned by Production must be returned to the Warehouse Associate, who is responsible for recording the return and placing the material back into the appropriate inventory location.
· Any unusual or excessive material request or consumption must be promptly reported to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Purchasing Department.
MATERIAL PREPARATION FOR PRODUCTION
· Receive and process material requests from Riggers and other Production Departments.
· Pick and prepare the correct parts, materials, and quantities requested.
· Verify materials before release to minimize picking and inventory errors.
· Organize and prepare materials according to the applicable boat, job, project, or department whenever required.
· Ensure requested materials are prepared and available in a timely manner to avoid unnecessary production delays.
· Promptly communicate when requested materials are unavailable, incomplete, or delayed.
· Maintain an organized system for materials waiting to be collected or delivered to Production.
INVENTORY MONITORING AND PURCHASING SUPPORT
· Work closely with the Purchasing Department to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
· Monitor stock levels and proactively identify materials approaching minimum or reorder levels.
· Promptly notify Purchasing when materials need to be reordered.
· Monitor material usage and identify unusual or abnormal consumption compared with normal production requirements or historical usage.
· Promptly report unusual consumption, unexpected shortages, or significant inventory discrepancies.
· When appropriate, work with Production and Purchasing to understand the reason for unusual material consumption.
· Assist Purchasing in verifying actual quantities on hand before new purchase orders are placed.
· Report materials that are frequently out of stock or causing production delays.
· Identify and report slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory.
· Provide Purchasing with accurate and timely inventory information to support purchasing and reorder decisions.
· Support periodic reviews of minimum and reorder stock levels based on actual material consumption and production requirements.
WAREHOUSE ORGANIZATION
· Maintain the warehouse in a clean, organized, and efficient condition.
· Ensure all materials have an assigned and clearly identified storage location.
· Properly label shelves, bins, racks, and materials.
· Maintain appropriate separation and identification of materials assigned to specific boats, jobs, or production departments.
· Ensure no material leaves the warehouse without the appropriate inventory transaction being recorded.
· Follow proper storage requirements for sensitive, fragile, valuable, or hazardous materials.
COMPUTER AND ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Use the Company's computer system for receiving, inventory transactions, material issues, stock verification, and other warehouse activities.
· Accurately enter and retrieve inventory information.
· Use email and other Company communication systems as required.
· Maintain organized electronic and/or paper warehouse documentation.
· Have sufficient computer skills to learn and effectively use the Company's inventory/ERP software.
SHIPPING AND MATERIAL HANDLING
· Assist with preparing materials, parts, and products for shipment when required.
· Properly package materials to prevent damage.
· Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles as required.
· Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment when properly trained and authorized.
SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING
· Follow all Company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
· Keep aisles, exits, work areas, shelving, and storage locations clean and free from unnecessary obstructions.
· Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
· Follow proper procedures for lifting and handling materials.
· Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, spills, or damaged materials.
· Follow applicable procedures for handling and storing chemicals or other potentially hazardous materials used in marine manufacturing.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, marine, automotive, industrial, or logistics environment preferred.
· English and Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred.
· Good computer skills are required, with the ability and willingness to learn the Company's inventory and ERP systems.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy; detail-oriented, organized, and methodical approach to work.
· Ability to accurately read and verify part numbers, quantities, purchase orders, packing lists, labels, and inventory documentation.
· Ability to prioritize multiple requests from Riggers and Production Departments.
· Ability to work independently while cooperating effectively with Production and Purchasing.
· Strong sense of responsibility for inventory accuracy.
· Reliable attendance and punctuality.
· Forklift experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must be able to perform the physical duties normally associated with a warehouse and marine manufacturing environment, including:
· Standing and walking for extended periods.
· Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing as required.
· Regularly lifting and moving materials and components.
· Lifting up to 50 lbs. individually, subject to Company safety procedures; heavier items must be handled using appropriate equipment or team lifting.
· Working in warehouse and production environments that may be hot, humid, noisy, dusty, or exposed to outdoor Florida weather conditions.
· Safely using ladders, carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment when properly trained and authorized.

WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position. The employee must be available to work the Company's regular production schedule. Overtime and occasional schedule changes may be required depending on production and operational needs.

Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to ensure timely processing.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately using RF scanners and inventory management software to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain precise inventory records through data entry in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms like AS400 or similar.
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and assist with stock replenishment activities.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations by coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping labels, and ensuring compliance with trade regulations.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Support warehouse distribution efforts by organizing stock for efficient storage, picking & packing orders, and loading/unloading trucks.
- Collaborate with team members on logistics planning, order fulfillment, and trade compliance to optimize warehouse operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and ensuring accurate order processing.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP systems such as AS400 is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities accurately.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely including RF scanners, forklift trucks (certification preferred), pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Strong data entry skills combined with attention to detail for maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing processes, and international trade regulations is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team and provide outstanding customer service when needed.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
