Part-Time / Full-Time Prep & Line Cook

The Bishop Hotel — Port Townsend, WA
Pay: $18–$22/hour, depending on experience, plus tips
Anticipated Start: August - September 2026

Join Our Kitchen Team

The Bishop Hotel is a boutique property in the heart of historic Port Townsend. Our culinary program continues to grow, and we're looking for a dependable Prep & Line Cook to help us deliver quality food and a great experience to our guests.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working as part of a small kitchen team, takes pride in their work, and can stay organized during busy service periods. Depending on business levels and the development of our expanded offerings, scheduling may fluctuate during the winter season.

What You'll Do

Prepare ingredients for daily service, including chopping, portioning, and organizing products.
Cook and plate menu items according to recipes and established kitchen standards.
Help set up and break down stations before and after service.
Keep prep areas, equipment, storage spaces, and other kitchen areas clean and orderly.
Practice proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Communicate with the kitchen manager and other team members to keep service running smoothly.
Help monitor and organize inventory and supplies.
Complete prep and service tasks efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality.
Contribute to a positive, professional kitchen environment.

What We're Looking For

Previous restaurant or professional kitchen experience is preferred.
Familiarity with basic cooking methods, kitchen tools, and equipment.
Ability to read and follow recipes, prep lists, and instructions.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Dependable work habits and the ability to manage tasks without constant supervision.
A team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
Availability for some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

$18–$22/hour, based on experience, plus approximately $3+/hour in tips, with potential for additional tips during busier periods.
