Full Job Description

Overview

Atlantic Sportswear is looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting & Administrative Assistant to work directly with our Accounting Manager.

This is a key support position within our small business. We are looking for someone who can bring a strong foundation of accounting, administrative, and computer skills to the position and who is comfortable wearing multiple hats.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to use their accounting and administrative skills while taking on a variety of responsibilities and becoming an important part of the company's day-to-day operations. Hours are (M-F) 7-3:30

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Support

· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Enter and maintain accounting records accurately

· Process invoices, bills, payments, and customer transactions

· Assist with customer account setup and maintenance

· Prepare deposits and assist with daily cash and payment processing

· Assist with account reconciliations and month-end procedures

· Maintain organized accounting files and documentation

· Assist with reporting and other accounting projects

· Research and resolve routine billing or account discrepancies

· Provide backup support for payroll and other accounting functions as needed

Administrative Support

· Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Manager and office team

· Answer phones and respond to routine customer and employee questions

· Assist with filing, data entry, document organization, and record keeping

· Maintain accurate information in company systems

· Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and other office needs

· Help coordinate information between accounting, sales, customer service, and production

· Support special projects and other administrative tasks as needed

Customer & Business Support

· Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices, payments, account questions, and general requests

· Assist with online store/webstore administrative tasks when needed

· Help identify and resolve issues by working with the appropriate department

· Provide backup support to other office functions during busy periods

Qualifications

·2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, administrative support, or a related role

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Comfortable working with numbers and financial information

· Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

· Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred

· Strong organizational and time-management skills

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

· Professional and friendly communication skills

· Ability to work independently while also being a team player

· Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

· High level of discretion when handling confidential financial and employee information

The right person will be reliable, organized, proactive, and willing to learn. We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be told about every little thing that needs to be done and who takes pride in keeping things accurate and organized.

Because we are a small business, flexibility is important. There will be times when priorities change quickly, and we're looking for someone who is comfortable jumping in to help wherever needed.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
