Sparkloft Media: Account Supervisor

Location: Portland, Oregon (Hybrid) [expected in-office schedule, Tuesday -Thursday in our Portland office.]

Salary Range: $92,000 - $96,000

As an Account Supervisor, you’ll lead key client partnerships while working alongside strategists, creatives, media specialists, community managers, and producers to bring integrated ideas to life.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape social and digital strategies, guide complex campaigns, identify opportunities to grow client relationships, and mentor talented team members as they grow their careers. You’ll also help us explore how AI and emerging technologies can make our work smarter and more effective, while keeping human insight, creativity, and strategic thinking at the center of what we do.

What You’ll Do

Build Strategic Client Partnerships

Serve as a trusted strategic advisor for assigned client accounts, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and executive leaders.
Develop integrated social media and digital marketing strategies aligned with client goals and broader business objectives.
Anticipate client needs, uncover opportunities, and recommend innovative solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Present strategic recommendations, campaign insights, and executive-level reporting with confidence and clarity.
Build relationships that strengthen client trust, satisfaction, and long-term retention.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days

Your first few months will be about learning the business, building relationships, establishing trust, and understanding what success looks like for your clients and teams.

By the end of your first 90 days, you’ll be well on your way to:

Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and internal partners.
Developing a deep understanding of your clients’ businesses, priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
Taking ownership of key client accounts, workflows, and agency processes.
Establishing strong working relationships with the teams you lead and collaborate with.
Identifying opportunities to strengthen client partnerships and improve team collaboration.
Bringing strategic ideas and recommendations to the table that create measurable value for clients.

What You’ll Bring

5–7 years of account management experience within a social media, digital marketing, advertising, or integrated agency environment.
2–3 years of leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing team members.
Demonstrated success leading complex client relationships and integrated marketing programs.
Strong knowledge of social media strategy, content marketing, paid social, platform best practices, and marketing analytics.
Experience collaborating across creative, strategy, media, production, and analytics teams.
Strong business acumen with experience managing account budgets, profitability, forecasting, and growth.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
The ability to balance strategic thinking with strong organization and attention to detail in a fast-moving agency environment.
Familiarity with generative AI tools and a thoughtful approach to incorporating emerging technology into client service and agency operations.
The ability to travel as needed.

Even Better If You Bring

Experience working with destination marketing organizations or travel, tourism, and hospitality brands.
Experience leading integrated marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels.
Experience participating in agency new business pitches and helping win client accounts.
Familiarity with influencer marketing, creator partnerships, social listening, and community management.
An advanced understanding of emerging social platforms, digital trends, and evolving consumer behaviors.

You’ll make an impact by:

Maintaining client retention of 90% or higher.
Growing existing client revenue by 5–10% year over year through thoughtful, strategic account development.
Meeting or exceeding target profitability across assigned accounts.
Contributing to agency growth through active participation in new business pitches and RFPs.
Introducing strategic innovations, platform opportunities, or process improvements on a quarterly basis.
Maintaining an average client Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 8.5 or higher.
Providing ongoing coaching and completing annual performance reviews that contribute to measurable employee engagement and development.
