Job Description | Surety Account Manager

ANCHOR INSURANCE & SURETY, INC.

Anchor Insurance & Surety, Inc. is an Oregon based commercial insurance and surety agency having a strong emphasis on serving heavy industry, especially civil and general construction, forest products, and fabrication/distribution. Our company is looking for talented individuals interested in a position with a dynamic, locally owned insurance agency. This position is classified as exempt, and reports to the Anchor Owners.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Surety Account Management. Level 1 or Level 2 depending on experience.
SALARY RANGE
Level 1: $49,000 to $99,000 per year (Exempt) + Bonus + Benefits

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities.

It is required that this position actively supports Anchor and all employees and customers in a positive manner.

Maintain successful client and underwriter relationships.

Manage the renewal cycle and servicing of client accounts.

Understand suretyship and counsel clients in its application.

Analyze documents for surety requirements and risk exposures and obligations.

Analyze and understand bond forms.

Issue bid bonds, performance bonds, payment bonds, license bonds and other surety bonds.

Issue, review and process bond riders.

Report, open, manage, and close claims.

Review and check audits.

Obtain familiarity with online surety programs and company websites/portals.

Communicate professionally with others.

Bill all invoices accurately and timely.

Perform various other tasks associated with account management.

Perform such other duties as the officers of Anchor assign to you from time to time.

Show an ability to manage accounts with little or no producer oversight.

Demonstrate proficiency with Applied Epic, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, Adobe, Erlon, Paper Port and other programs.

General office environment. Position will require extensive time sitting or standing and viewing computer screens.
