Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an L1 Data Center Technician with 4 -5 years of experience to support day-to-day data center operations, hardware installations, cabling, inventory management, and Level 1 troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, hands-on break/fix experience, and excellent documentation skills. Candidates must be comfortable working in a rotational shift environment (no night shifts).

Key Responsibilities

Perform rack & stack of servers, network devices, and storage equipment.
Install, relocate, decommission, and cable hardware using fiber and copper cabling.
Manage hardware inventory, asset tagging, RMA processing, and spare parts.
Provide Level 1 support for hardware and network-related incidents using ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
Perform basic troubleshooting for server hardware and Layer 1 network connectivity issues.
Provide remote hands support, including cable reseating, power cycling, console access, and basic hardware replacement.
Monitor data center alerts, update incident tickets, and maintain accurate documentation.
Follow data center security policies, ESD procedures, PPE guidelines, and compliance standards.

Required Skills

Understanding of data center infrastructure and server hardware.
Hands-on troubleshooting and break/fix experience.
Experience with fiber and Ethernet cabling, labeling, and cable management.
Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.
Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, switching, patching).
Experience with SSH, PuTTY, or similar console tools.
Strong communication, documentation, and inventory management skills.
Ability to work in a rotational shift environment (no night shifts).

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
