Family First Developmental Disability Solutions is hiring a Section 28 Services Coordinator to manage the intake, authorization, scheduling, and compliance backbone of our MaineCare Section 28 program — making sure children referred for services are matched with the right Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) and supported every step of the way.

What You’ll Do

Manage the full referral and intake lifecycle for children entering Section 28 services
Secure and track prior authorizations; monitor service limits and re-authorization timelines so coverage never lapses
Match and schedule BHPs to children based on need, skill fit, and geography
Manage a team of BHPs to include tracking annual training requirements, conducting required supervisions, attending/participating in team meetings and communicating needs for acquiring new BHP staff
Coordinate the development, review, and timely revision of Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs)
Serve as the central point of contact connecting families, BHPs, schools, case managers, and treatment teams
Ensure documentation and service delivery meet MaineCare Section 28 standards and audit requirements
Track caseloads, utilization, and outcomes — flagging and resolving service gaps before they become problems
Partner with clinical and supervisory staff on quality assurance and staff support
Maintain accurate, timely records in our paperless documentation system
Maintain accurate licensure requirements
After hours “on call” on designated days each month.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Services, Behavioral Health, or a related field
3–5 years of experience working with children in behavioral or mental health services, case management, or service coordination
Have at least 1 year of prior management or supervisory experience
Working knowledge of MaineCare Section 28 (or the drive to learn it quickly) — a strong plus
Exceptional organization, follow-through, and the ability to juggle many moving parts without dropping one
Strong communication and documentation skills
Comfort working in electronic health record (EHR) and paperless systems
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass required background and registry checks
Willingness to obtain BHP Certification within 30 days
