Job Overview – Event Server

Join our dynamic team as an Event Server, where your enthusiasm and hospitality skills will help create memorable guest experiences. You will support food and beverage service, food preparation, event setup, and general event operations with professionalism and energy.

Whether working at banquets, receptions, or catering functions, you will play an important role in making each event successful while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service.

Important OLCC Requirement

A valid OLCC Alcohol Service Permit is required for all front-of-house event servers who will serve, sell, or handle alcoholic beverages. Applicants must provide proof of a valid permit before being assigned to alcohol-service duties.

Duties

Serve food and beverages promptly, professionally, and courteously.
Follow all OLCC regulations when serving or handling alcoholic beverages.
Monitor alcohol service responsibly and immediately report any concerns to the event supervisor.
Assist with setting up event spaces, including tables, linens, glassware, utensils, and service stations.
Clear and reset tables efficiently during and after service.
Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary guest and service areas.
Support culinary staff with basic food preparation, plating, and garnishing as needed.
Assist with catering operations by transporting and delivering meals to designated service areas.
Work closely with event staff to maintain smooth service and resolve issues proactively.
Provide coffee service, beverage service, or light food preparation when assigned.
Complete event breakdown, cleaning, and closing duties after service.

Qualifications

A valid OLCC Alcohol Service Permit is required for front-of-house server assignments involving alcohol service.
Previous food-service, catering, restaurant, banquet, hotel, or hospitality experience is preferred.
Strong customer-service skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
Knowledge of food-handling safety standards and proper serving techniques.
Understanding of responsible alcohol-service practices and OLCC requirements.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry moderate loads safely.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced event environment.
Willingness to perform both front-of-house service and basic food-preparation duties.
Flexible and proactive approach to changing event needs.
Dependable, punctual, and professionally presented.
