Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Evening Cleaner in Portsmouth! This energetic role is perfect for motivated individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services across various facilities during evening hours, ensuring spaces are spotless and well-maintained. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a positive atmosphere for staff and visitors alike. This paid position offers flexible hours tailored to fit your schedule, with opportunities to develop valuable custodial and facilities maintenance skills.

Job details:

Our job is an evening position that begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 10:00 pm. Our job is Monday through Friday no weekends. It is 4 hours per night, 5 days a week, which is a 20 hours per week total for hours. a driver license is required, since our job is at 2 different location and each account is a 2 hour clean per night.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and communal spaces using commercial cleaning equipment.
Handle cleaning chemicals safely, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
Maintain cleanliness by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure hygiene compliance
Conduct routine custodial tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while practicing safe lifting practices
Operate cleaning machinery efficiently and responsibly, including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools
Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting when needed

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services preferred
Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaners
Prior experience in residential painting or general facilities maintenance is a plus
Ability to adhere to safety protocols consistently and demonstrate a proactive approach to workplace safety
