Job Title:

Inventory Control Specialist

Reports To:

Administrative Office Manager

Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is an office-based position responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across multiple company buildings and locations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Track and process inventory transfers between multiple company buildings and locations.

· Maintain accurate and timely inventory records in company systems.

· Coordinate and reconcile weekly cycle counts across multiple buildings.

· Coordinate and reconcile the company’s annual physical inventories.

· Research, document, and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.

· Process approved inventory adjustments and maintain supporting documentation.

· Review inventory reports and transaction history to ensure accuracy.

· Follow up on inventory discrepancies through resolution.

· Maintain organized documentation for transfers, cycle counts, annual inventory, reconciliations, and adjustments.

· Communicate significant or unresolved inventory issues to management.

· Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

· Follow established inventory controls, policies, and procedures.

· Qualifications

· Previous inventory control, inventory administration, data entry, or similar office experience preferred.

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to manage inventory information across multiple buildings and locations.

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

· Proficient with computer systems and accurate data entry.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and basic Microsoft Excel.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Dependable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

This is an office-based inventory control position primarily performed at a desk using inventory management software, spreadsheets, reports, email, and electronic documentation.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull of objects up to 20 pounds as needed for general office duties.
