Full Job Description

Busy, well established specialty practice with dynamic team seeking and experienced, motivated team member who is seeking an opportunity for a full time position in the podiatry field. Our offices are located in Washington DC and Potomac Maryland.

The position will require a multi faceted approach to include routine clinical activities alongside the podiatrist as well as assisting the podiatrist with various aspects of medical record documentation. These accepts may include but are not limited to writing, typing, transcribing the spoken word in conjunction with the patient's medical assessment.

This individual must have a great personality, positive attitude, excellent people skills, strong work ethic, great attention to detail. Podiatry or Orthopaedic experience preferred but not required.

Must be able to document medical information into the electronic medical record.

Must be able to distinguish between the different forms of medical results as well as physical findings while documenting appropriately.

Must be proficient in data entry via computer.

Must be able to assist in clinical duties to include taking vitals, cleaning rooms, prepping rooms for procedures as well as assisting, taking x-rays (will train) and other duties as assigned.

Must be able to effectively communicate with clinical and non-clinical personnel.

Knowledge of general office procedures

Electronic Medical Record experience

Must be able to follow and understand instructions, as well as react favorably in all work situations.

Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.

Must be able to communicate in a professional manner.

High school diploma or equivalent

2 years of relevant experience in healthcare as a medical assistant or medical scribe

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Meditouch/NextGen EMR experience preferred but not required.

Full Time Position (30-40 hrs/week)

Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM
