Full Job Description

Position Summary:

The Quality Coordinator supports daily quality activities, ensures adherence to documentation and contamination control practices, and provides guidance to production staff on proper execution of tasks. The Quality Lead reinforces policies, identifies improvement opportunities, and collaborates closely with the Quality Manager to uphold ALB standards. This role plays a hands-on, influential part in ensuring that every product made reflects the commitment to safety, consistency, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Production

Monitor production activities to ensure they are performed according to documented procedures and quality expectations.
Support the production team by reinforcing best practices during weighing, pouring, labeling, sampling, and material usage.
Perform routine in-process checks to verify accuracy and consistency.
Monitor gowning, hygiene, and contamination control to maintain a clean and controlled environment.
Identify opportunities to improve quality through clearer procedures, better organization, or improved workflow.

Team Leadership & Oversight

Serve as the on-the-floor Quality resource and point of contact for production team members.
Support training on gowning, contamination prevention, documentation expectations, and correct execution of tasks including SOP review and edits.
Provide coaching and positive accountability when deviations from requirements occur.
Promote a culture of speaking up when issues arise — never hiding, overlooking, or ignoring quality concerns.

Quality & Compliance

Uphold quality standards throughout integrations with new sites, material, processes, and supplies.
Support the execution of ALB’s Quality Management System based on ISIA standards, ISO 9001:2015 principles, and cGMP expectations.
Help investigate deviations, discrepancies, or nonconformances and support corrective actions.
Assist and perform internal audits, documentation reviews, and internal quality checks.

· Collate and evaluate metrics efficiently

· Maintain site certificates

· Oversee temperature monitoring of equipment along with maintenance & calibration systems sample storage & management

· Perform equipment validations, supplier approvals, laboratory testing, label creation and document review and retention.

Communication & Collaboration

Communicate quality findings clearly to production, warehouse, and operations leadership.
Escalate quality concerns promptly, including contamination risks, documentation mistakes, and incorrect material handling.
Listen to and encourage feedback from team members to identify improvement opportunities.

· Communication with third party logistics/drivers/customers

Promote an open, supportive, and team-oriented approach to solving quality issues.

Documentation & Reporting

Ensure real-time documentation practices on controlled records — no shortcuts, scrap notes, or delayed entries.
Review batch records, logbooks, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Reinforce proper recordkeeping standards including:
Black indelible ink only
Legible handwriting
Full entries (no ditto marks)
Signatures verifying accurate work
Report documentation or tracking concerns to the Quality Manager promptly.

· Create shipments, review shipment paperwork, overseeing shipping, labeling, packing, and scheduling.

· Trial creation, oversite, and metric tracking.

Safety & Workplace Standards

Reinforce gowning requirements, hygiene expectations, and environmental control to prevent contamination.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional working environment.
Promote awareness that every action—washing hands, covering jewelry, cleaning surfaces—protects product quality.
Model compliance with PPE, behavioral standards, and company policies at all times.
