Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in CNC set up and operation of machines, precision measurement, and mechanical skills. Knowledge in CNC programming a plus. This role involves operating and programming CNC turn/mill machines, interpreting complex blueprints, and ensuring high-quality production standards. Candidates with experience with Mori Seiki or Nakamura Turn/Mill Centers, Programming Fanuc Controls and setup of twin spindle and live tooling will thrive in this position. Our CNC Machinists produce precision components for multiple industries, including the Medical, Dental, Fluid & Gas Control, Water Purification and Aerospace.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC turn/mill machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems.
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprint specifications to produce accurate parts.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime.
Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining operations while adhering to safety standards.
Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure parts meet specifications.
Assist with tooling changes, calibration, and adjustments as needed for optimal performance.
Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes and inspection results.
Support continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing practices and process optimization.

Experience

Proven experience with CNC set up and operation on CNC turning and milling machines.
Proficiency in CAD software such as Fusion or Partmaker; experience with CAM programming is preferred.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of tooling selection, basic math skills for measurements and calculations, and the use of power tools and hand tools in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with Fanuc controls or other CNC control systems preferred.
Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is advantageous but not required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where precision, safety, and quality are paramount. Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
