Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Night Shift to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient well-being, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have experience working in diverse clinical settings. As a CNA on the night shift, you will play a vital role in supporting patient needs, ensuring safety, and assisting healthcare teams with essential daily tasks. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
Monitor and record temperature and weights accurately documenting all observations in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Support patient care under the supervision of nursing staff and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions.
Maintain a safe environment by following aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care and infection control protocols for infectious disease care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
Prepare patient rooms and assist with documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate proficiency in using EMR systems like SIGMA CARE OR PCC to accurately document patient information and support medical records management.

Requirements

Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the respective state or region.
Experience in long term care environments is preferred.
Basic Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Sigma Care or PCC for efficent and timely documentation.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment.
Compassionate caregiving skills with experience supporting patients across the SNF spectrum: geriatrics, post acute, hospice and palliative or behavioral health populations.
Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic technique and medical equipment handling such as hoyers, scales, adaptive equipment.
