Full Job Description

Eastern Additive Solutions is a new production 3D printing factory in Hopewell Junction, NY. We make end-use plastic parts on HP Multi Jet Fusion industrial equipment for medical, robotics, and industrial customers, and we compete on reliability: committed delivery dates and documented quality on every order that ships. You would be our first production technician, working directly with the people who run the factory.

What you will do

Remove powder from finished 3D printed parts and run blast finishing equipment
Tend industrial 3D printers: load material, swap build units, unpack finished builds
Support vapor smoothing and other finishing operations
Pack, label, and stage orders for shipment, keeping every part identified and traceable
Stage parts for quality inspection, measurement, and photo documentation
Keep the production floor in order: powder containment, station upkeep, and clean/dirty zone separation. In a powder factory, cleaning is process control, not a chore.
Help write our work instructions as you train on each station. You learn the process by documenting it.
General floor support: material moves, setups, receiving, and whatever the day needs

How you will work

Everything here runs on written procedures and documented sign-offs. You train one station at a time, and you will not be asked to run anything solo until you have been trained and cleared on it. Nobody at EAS, at any level, signs off on their own work. Your job is to follow the procedure exactly and to speak up when the procedure does not match what you see on the floor. Both halves matter equally.

Where this role goes

Pay increases are tied to station qualifications, not time served. As you qualify on each set of tools, your rate steps up. After full qualification, there is a defined path to train as a Quality Assurance reviewer, checking and confirming work done by others before it ships. Reviewer certification carries its own pay step.

What we are looking for

Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on, physical manufacturing work
Ability to follow written procedures exactly, and to flag when reality does not match the procedure
Attention to detail with part identity, labeling, and custody
Comfortable working in a powder environment with full PPE
Able to lift 40 lbs and be on your feet most of the shift
Reliable attendance. Coverage is the point of the role.

No 3D printing experience required. We train the workflow. We cannot train caring whether the right part goes in the right box.

Nice to have: manufacturing, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical experience; machine shop, dental lab, or similar hands-on production work; exposure to 3D printing in any form.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, day shift, on-site at 20 Corporate Park, Hopewell Junction, NY. Early on, the whole team works the same hours while we build out our processes together. As production grows, this role may move to a shifted schedule to extend floor coverage, and we will design that together in advance.

Pay

$23 to $28 per hour to start, depending on relevant experience, with defined step increases tied to station qualifications and reviewer certification. Standard benefits once eligible. We state the range up front on purpose; you should not have to discover it in a third interview.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
