Full Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team at Mister A's, a prestigious fine dining establishment known for its exceptional culinary standards and impeccable service. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in fine dining kitchens, demonstrating proficiency in executing various cooking techniques and contributing to the overall excellence of our culinary offerings. We are looking for someone who is available to work evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes with precision and attention to detail, following recipes and presentation specifications set by the Chef de Cuisine.
Execute various cooking methods including braising, roasting, sautéing, grilling, and baking to consistently deliver dishes that meet our standards of excellence.
Coordinate food orders with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient preparation of meals during service periods.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Collaborate with kitchen team members to uphold our commitment to quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation.
Adhere to proper food handling procedures and safety regulations to minimize risks of accidents or incidents in the kitchen.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fine dining restaurant or similar culinary environment, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on kitchen experience.
Proficiency in executing various cooking techniques and methods, with a strong foundation in classical culinary principles.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and attention to detail during high-pressure situations.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen workspace.
Culinary degree or certificate from an accredited culinary institute is preferred but not required, with demonstrated skills and experience being paramount.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the restaurant industry.
