Full Job Description

We provide solutions for the pharmaceutical, biomedical, safety and security, chemical, and academic research industries. With the fast growth of our business, Metrohm Spectro is seeking a detail-oriented Incoming QC & Supplier Quality Specialist to ensure supplier materials conform to engineering drawings, specifications, purchase requirements, and quality standards while supporting incoming inspection, supplier quality, NCR/MRB processes, calibration coordination, continuous improvement, and the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Incoming QC & Supplier Quality Specialist inspects mechanical, optical, electrical, electronic, and purchased components; verify conformance to drawings, specifications, BOMs, acceptance criteria, and supplier documentation; document results and maintain accurate records.
Supplier Quality: Support supplier qualification, monitoring, audits, SCAR coordination, supplier issue resolution, and maintenance of approved supplier quality records.
Nonconforming Material / MRB: Incoming QC & Supplier Quality Specialist creates and maintain NCRs, coordinate MRB documentation, track dispositions and corrective actions, and support root cause investigations with Engineering and Manufacturing.
Calibration: Maintain calibration schedules and records, coordinate external calibration providers, and ensure inspection equipment documentation supports traceability and audit readiness.
Quality System Support: Incoming QC & Supplier Quality Specialist maintains ISO 9001 quality records, support audits and CAPA activities, analyze supplier and inspection trends, and recommend improvements to inspection processes and supplier controls.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: Associate’s degree in Quality Assurance or related technical discipline required; BS in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred.
Experience: Incoming QC & Supplier Quality Specialist has a minimum of 3 years of experience in incoming quality inspection, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, quality assurance, or quality control.
Technical Skills: Ability to read engineering drawings; working knowledge of GD&T fundamentals; experience using standard inspection equipment; understanding of ISO 9001, NCR, MRB, corrective action, and calibration processes.
Systems: Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and Quality Management Systems; Fishbowl experience preferred.

PREFFERED CERTIFICATIONS:

Preferred credentials include ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), GD&T fundamentals certification, Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt, and/or Lean Manufacturing certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods within manufacturing and warehouse environments.
Ability to perform close visual inspection work.
Ability to use standard inspection and measurement equipment.
