NEUROLOGIST / NEUROHOSPITALIST

Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders / US Neurology Associates

Department: Clinical │ Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time – Flexible │ Location: Outpatient, Inpatient/Hospitalist, or Hybrid – Multiple Locations across the DFW Metroplex

POSITION SUMMARY

Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders (TIND) is the largest private practice neurology group in North Texas, with 13 clinics across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the Texoma corridor into Southern Oklahoma. For over three decades, our mission has been to provide the highest quality neuroscience care by combining clinical excellence with the latest technology, treating one patient at a time with unparalleled passion and commitment.

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neurologist to join our growing team of providers across the DFW area. Choose the practice setting that fits you best – outpatient clinic, inpatient/hospitalist coverage, or a hybrid of both – with full-time or part-time scheduling to match your goals. Candidates should be comfortable managing conditions centered around general neurology, and we welcome candidates with subspecialty interests; our group includes subspecialty-trained providers in Movement Disorders, Neuromuscular Medicine, and Epilepsy, available to support tertiary care and provider consultation as your practice grows.

We welcome candidates in training as well as experienced physicians, including those re-entering practice after a career break.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on your preferred practice setting:

● Outpatient: Manage a clinical panel across general neurology and/or subspecialty focus, with EMG/NCV and diagnostic equipment available in clinic, supported by an established administrative and prior-authorization team

● Hospitalist: Provide inpatient neurology consults and acute care coverage, including stroke, at partner hospital sites across the DFW area

● Hybrid: Combine outpatient clinic days with periodic inpatient coverage in a schedule tailored to your preference

● Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies (EEG, imaging, laboratory testing) to support diagnosis and treatment planning

● Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, adjusting as clinically indicated

● Counsel patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and disease management

● Refer patients to TIND subspecialists (Movement Disorders, Neuromuscular, Epilepsy, Pediatrics) or outside services as clinically appropriate

● Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record

● Collaborate with front office, clinical, and nursing staff to support efficient clinic and/or inpatient coverage flow

● Participate in practice-wide quality initiatives and process improvement efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

● Successful completion of an accredited Neurology Residency Program in the U.S.

● Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology

● Active, unrestricted Texas medical license and DEA registration, or ability to obtain prior to start

● Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills

● Ability to manage complex neurologic conditions across an outpatient panel, inpatient consult service, or both

● Excellent patient communication and care coordination skills

Preferred

● Clear preference or openness to outpatient, inpatient, or both – let us know what fits you

● Interest in growing a subspecialty focus as patient needs and clinic flow allow

● Open to new graduates and candidates currently in training, as well as experienced physicians, including those re-entering practice after a career break

● Comfort with or interest in learning eClinicalWorks and neurodiagnostic systems; prior system experience is a plus, and full training is provided

● Strong communication skills and comfort working across a multi-site care team
