Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety practices. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating delicious baked goods, pastries, custom cakes, and catering items that delight our customers. This role requires multitasking, time-management, creativity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.
Ensure all food handling and preparation practices meet food safety regulations.
Excellent and artistic plating and writing on cakes
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards.
Collaborate with the bakery team to fulfill catering orders and special requests from customers.
Answering questions about products for staff.
Creative mind and ability to come up with new and appetizing dessert offerings in accordance with the season.
Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a baking or pastry role within the food industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food handling techniques and food safety regulations.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and staff.
Creativity in developing new recipes or improving existing ones is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both baking processes, decorating, and packaging.
Self driven with a "get it done" attitude.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as required by the business needs, including at least one weekend shift.
