Overview
Join our soon to be Eclair Patisserie & café team as a Cafe bakery Team Member / Cashier and become the heart of a lively, welcoming environment! In this role, you'll craft delicious coffee beverages, serve food with a smile, and ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional experience. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a warm atmosphere where customers feel valued and eager to return. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service skills while working in a dynamic retail and food service setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
Handle food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches, snacks, and other café offerings in accordance with food safety standards
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Clover POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and sanitation procedures
Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy using basic math skills for transactions and register balancing
Support food safety protocols and proper food handling practices to ensure quality and compliance

Skills

Previous restaurant experience or coffee industry knowledge is preferred
Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
Excellent time management to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality standards
Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work well in a team environment within a café or retail setting
