Full Job Description

We’re currently seeking an outgoing, fun-loving, positive individual to join our team as an Activities Coordinator. If you’re someone that doesn’t take life too seriously, but would love to make a SERIOUS difference in fulfilling the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our seniors (and creating a lot of smiles along the way), we have the place for you on our team!

As an Activity Coordinator at Orchard View Assisted Living, you’ll be responsible for the planning and implementing of community-wide activity programs to encourage and support residents in living more engaged, richer lives. You’ll also assist in achieving department budget goals and coordinating life enrichment volunteers. Also, the Activities Coordinator plans and coordinates a variety of programs to provide a vibrant and engaging life for our Memory Care resident unit. The Life Enrichment program brings meaning and purpose for many of these residents.

Duties and responsibilities:

Determine resident program preferences, talents, and needs through resident feedback, new resident orientation, and communication with resident families.
Plan daily and weekly programs to engage residents to meet their social, physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
Assist in planning programs and events that encourage prospective residents to participate in community life and see the value and benefit our community can offer them.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); required.
Experience with activity or recreation programming; strongly preferred.
A desire to continue learning and improving your skill set.
Ability to create and have fun! We offer a competitive salary for employees.
Ability to drive a 14 passenger bus to take residents out of the facility for activities outside the building.
