Full Job Description

Schriever Law Firm has a dedicated and growing family law practice serving the Utah County area. We are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality legal representation while fostering a supportive and technologically advanced environment for our team. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be the primary paralegal supporting 1-2 attorneys, managing the entire life cycle of complex family law cases in Utah District Courts, including:

Pleading and Document Drafting: Independently draft, format, and finalize a high volume of complex pleadings, including Complaints/Petitions, Answers, Declarations, Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law, Orders, Subpoenas, and Discovery requests/responses.
Discovery Management: Manage and organize all aspects of discovery, including financial disclosures, interrogatories, requests for production, and tracking deadlines.
Case Administration: Maintain meticulous electronic and physical files, track all court deadlines, and ensure compliance with the Utah Rules of Civil Procedure.
Client Communication: Serve as a compassionate and professional point of contact for clients, relaying attorney instructions and gathering necessary documentation.
Hearing & Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys with preparation for mediation, temporary orders hearings, and trials, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
E-Filing: Proficiently file documents electronically through the Utah Courts' platform (e.g., File & ServeXpress).

Paralegal Growth Framework

Family Law Paralegal I — $43,000–$54,000
Starting range for paralegals building toward full docket ownership. High end reserved for Utah district court procedure and case-management proficiency. Progression to higher bands is earned through our certification tiers, not negotiated at offer.

Family Law Paralegal II — $54,000–$70,000
For paralegals running a docket with limited supervision. High end reserved for independent docket management, discovery, and financial declarations.

Family Law Paralegal III — $71,000–$80,000
For experienced paralegals ready to run a docket on day one. High end reserved for demonstrated financial declarations, discovery, temporary orders, and trial preparation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
