Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst supports quality management systems, data analytics, process automation, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as the department's subject matter expert for digital automation tools, quality reporting, KPI management, audit support, and corrective action verification. The QA Analyst works closely with Quality Engineers, Operations, Engineering, and other departments to improve efficiency, ensure compliance, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Digital Systems & Automation
- Serve as the primary Microsoft PowerApps Super User for the Quality Department.
- Support, troubleshoot, and maintain PowerApps-related applications and workflows.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Standardize digital processes and provide user support and training.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual tasks through automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting Automation
- Design and develop automated reporting and data collection tools.
- Improve reporting efficiency through workflow automation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize processes and reporting systems.
Quality Documentation & MTR Support
- Support Quality Engineers (QAEs) with Material Test Report (MTR) inspection reviews and reporting activities.
- Verify material documentation accuracy, completeness, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with quality documentation management and record retention.
- Support customer quality requirements and documentation requests.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze production, quality, and operational performance data.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visual analytics tools.
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports for management review.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Provide analytical support for quality and operational decision-making.
KPI Performance Management
- Collect, validate, and maintain departmental Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.
- Prepare and distribute monthly KPI reports.
- Monitor performance trends and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Support management reviews and performance evaluation activities.
Audit & Compliance
- Support internal Quality Management System (QMS) audits.
- Participate in ISO audits under the guidance of the Lead Internal Auditor.
- Verify compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
- Follow up on audit findings and support corrective action implementation.
Nonconformance Management & Corrective Action
- Support the nonconformance management process from identification through closure.
- Track corrective and preventive actions across departments.
- Coordinate with responsible personnel to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Evaluate and verify the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
- Monitor recurring quality concerns and identify risk areas.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence of nonconformities.
QualificationsEducation
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Data Analysis, Process Improvement, or related fields preferred.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar) preferred.
- Experience supporting audits, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems and documentation control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
