GRC Executive is conducting a confidential executive search on behalf of a growing hospice and healthcare services organization in Puerto Rico seeking a Chief Growth & Executive Officer to help lead its next stage of expansion, operational excellence, and organizational development.
This is a senior executive leadership opportunity for a highly driven healthcare leader who understands how to grow a hospice organization while maintaining exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, operational discipline, and financial performance.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, the Chief Growth & Executive Officer will play a critical role in driving census growth, market expansion, referral development, operational performance, organizational scalability, and enterprise execution across a multi-site hospice operation.
The organization is entering an important stage of growth and is seeking an executive who can help transform strategic objectives into measurable results.
The Chief Growth & Executive Officer will help develop and execute strategies to expand the organization's presence, strengthen referral networks, improve operational performance, and ensure the organization has the infrastructure, leadership, and systems necessary to support sustainable growth.
This role requires a leader who understands that in hospice, growth and quality must move together.
The successful executive will balance business development and financial objectives with the organization's commitment to patients, families, clinical excellence, compliance, and compassionate end-of-life care.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sustainable hospice census and revenue growth
- Identify opportunities for geographic expansion and increased market penetration
- Strengthen relationships with hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, healthcare systems, case managers, and other referral partners
- Evaluate referral trends, conversion rates, admissions, census, and market opportunities
- Establish growth targets and create accountability around execution
- Identify opportunities for new partnerships, services, territories, and strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with business development and operational leaders to strengthen referral pipelines and improve conversion
- Partner closely with the CEO to translate organizational strategy into execution
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across multiple locations and departments
- Strengthen operational discipline and accountability throughout the organization
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions
- Develop processes, workflows, and organizational structures that support growth
- Ensure operational capacity keeps pace with census and geographic expansion
- Drive performance improvement and organizational transformation initiatives
- Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and executive performance metrics
- Monitor census, admissions, referral conversion, revenue, productivity, quality, and operational performance
- Partner with leadership to drive revenue growth, profitability, and EBITDA performance
- Use operational and financial data to identify performance gaps and opportunities
- Hold leaders accountable for defined organizational and departmental objectives
- Ensure growth strategies remain aligned with clinical quality and patient-centered care
- Partner with clinical and quality leadership to maintain regulatory readiness and compliance
- Support initiatives designed to improve patient and family experience
- Ensure expansion does not compromise clinical standards, service quality, or regulatory requirements
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and compassionate care
- Strengthen leadership accountability across the organization
- Develop scalable management structures to support continued expansion
- Build alignment between clinical, operational, financial, and growth teams
- Develop leaders and strengthen organizational capabilities
- Promote a culture of urgency, ownership, collaboration, and measurable performance
We are seeking a high-performance healthcare executive who combines growth orientation with strong operational discipline.
The ideal candidate understands the dynamics of healthcare services and preferably brings direct experience within hospice, home health, post-acute care, senior care, or another highly regulated healthcare services environment.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Senior executive leadership experience within healthcare services
- Proven success driving organizational or market growth
- Experience leading complex, multi-site operations
- Strong understanding of healthcare referral and business development environments
- Experience with census, admissions, referral conversion, and healthcare performance metrics
- Strong financial and operational business acumen
- Experience implementing KPIs, dashboards, and accountability systems
- Proven ability to scale teams, processes, and operations
- Experience leading organizational transformation and performance improvement
- Knowledge of regulated healthcare environments
- Hospice or home health leadership experience strongly preferred

Base Salary: $150,000 annually
Annual Performance Incentive: 10%–50% of base salary based on defined KPI achievement and EBITDA performance
Car Allowance: TBD
Medical Plan: Full family medical coverage following successful completion of the probationary period
Executive Reimbursements: Cell phone, internet, and home-office expenses
Additional benefits include:
- 15 vacation days annually
