Remote Hospitality Phone Representative – Puerto Rico

Job Overview

At Mine Hospitality is hiring a Remote Hospitality Phone Representative to assist guests and callers across our hospitality portfolio.

This is a remote, full-time, entry-level customer-service position open exclusively to applicants who currently reside in Puerto Rico.

The representative will answer incoming calls, assist with routine guest questions and reservation requests, document interactions, and escalate issues that require additional assistance.

Training, call procedures, scripts, and ongoing guidance will be provided. This position is best suited for someone who communicates clearly, follows established procedures, remains professional during difficult calls, and is comfortable working a consistent second-shift schedule.

Schedule

Full-time, second-shift position
4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time
Weekend availability is required
This is a fixed schedule and is not a flexible-hours position
Applicants should confirm that they can consistently work the required schedule before applying

Because Puerto Rico does not observe daylight saving time, the Puerto Rico-local start and end times may change when the Eastern Time clock changes. The exact local schedule will be explained during the interview process.

What You’ll Do

Answer incoming guest and property-related calls in a courteous and professional manner.
Assist callers with routine reservation questions, property information, basic requests, and general inquiries.
Process reservation modifications or cancellations according to established procedures and authorization guidelines.
Document guest calls, requests, concerns, and follow-up needs accurately in the appropriate system.
Use approved scripts, reference materials, and internal procedures when assisting callers.
Transfer or escalate complaints, emergencies, payment concerns, policy exceptions, and other complex matters to the appropriate manager or department.
Send basic follow-up messages or communications when instructed.
Protect guest and company information by following confidentiality and data-handling procedures.
Communicate with team members when a guest issue requires additional information or follow-up.
Attend required virtual meetings, training sessions, and coaching conversations.
Apply feedback and corrections consistently to improve call quality and accuracy.

What This Position Does Not Require

You will not be expected to independently resolve every guest complaint.
You will not be authorized to promise refunds, discounts, compensation, or policy exceptions without approval.
You will not be responsible for creating company policies or guest-service strategies.
You will not be expected to make management-level decisions.
Complex, sensitive, or unusual situations must be escalated according to company procedures.

Required Qualifications

Professional spoken English.
Clear verbal communication and active-listening skills.
Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional during difficult conversations.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
Ability to follow scripts, written instructions, schedules, and escalation procedures.
Strong attention to detail when documenting calls and guest information.
Reliable high-speed internet.
A quiet and professional workspace suitable for guest calls.
Ability to work the full assigned second-shift schedule, including weekends.
Ability to attend remote training and coaching sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous customer-service, call-center, hospitality, reservation, front-desk, or administrative experience.
Familiarity with hotel reservations or online travel platforms.
Experience using customer-service, telephone, or reservation software.
Bilingual English and Spanish.

Previous hospitality experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.

Compensation

Pay: $10.50 per hour

This is the established hourly rate for the position and is not advertised as a negotiable pay range.

Paid Time Off

Employees may become eligible for paid time off after completing one year of employment, subject to the company’s applicable policies and eligibility requirements.

No additional employer-sponsored benefits are currently offered with this position.

Work Location

Remote within Puerto Rico.

Applicants must currently reside in Puerto Rico and maintain a reliable internet connection and appropriate home workspace.
