Full Job Description

Do you love cooking, staying organized, and making a difference in the lives of young children? Rainbow Riders Childcare Center is looking for a Kitchen Manager to join our team! This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing nutritious meals while being part of a fun, family-oriented environment.

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 8:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Includes a daily lunch break

What You'll Do

Prepare and serve nutritious morning snacks, lunches, and afternoon snacks for children.
Work alongside our Kitchen Assistant to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
Plan monthly menus, order food and supplies, and complete grocery shopping as needed.
Ensure all USDA/CACFP meal guidelines are followed and properly documented.
Maintain compliance with Health Department regulations and safe food handling practices.
Deliver meals each day to our SMLC location using our mini bus (approximately a 10-minute drive).
Collaborate with our teaching team to create a positive and enjoyable mealtime experience for children.

What We're Looking For

Someone who enjoys cooking and working in a fast-paced environment.
Organized, dependable, and able to manage daily kitchen operations while working as a team with the Kitchen Assistant.
Experience cooking in a commercial kitchen or restaurant is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Manager Certification (required).
Willing to complete USDA/CACFP Child Nutrition Program training.
Comfortable driving our mini bus to deliver meals between our two locations (training provided).
A positive attitude and a heart for serving children!
