What You’ll Do

As Food Service Manager, you run the kitchen to standard — consistent products, a clean operation, an efficient team, and food cost on target.

Kitchen Operations & Consistency

Run daily kitchen operations to the established menu, recipes, and production standards — every item made the same way, every time.
Manage production planning and par levels so products are prepped, fresh, and available throughout the day.
Drive speed of service, order accuracy, and consistent output, especially during peak periods.
Work the line as needed during peaks or staffing gaps to keep service moving.

Food Safety, Cleanliness & Equipment

Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards across the entire kitchen.
Keep all kitchen equipment clean, maintained, and operating properly; schedule and log routine cleaning and maintenance.
Conduct routine inspections and keep temperature logs and food-safety records current.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and pass health inspections.

Kitchen Administration & Cost Control

Manage inventory, ordering, and par levels to control food cost and minimize waste.
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and labor costs to support efficient operations.
Track and report on production, waste, and key kitchen metrics.

Sales, Loyalty & Guest Experience

Lead the team to consistently promote the loyalty/rewards program, capture sign-ups, and upsell featured items and daily specials at every opportunity.
Ensure food is delivered hot, fresh, and to standard for an outstanding guest experience.
Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.

Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, hire, and onboard team members while building a strong talent pipeline (bench).
Train, coach, and develop team members to execute standards consistently.
Foster a positive, accountable team environment and recognize top performers.

What We’re Looking For

Food service management experience preferred. 2+ years managing a kitchen, deli, or foodservice operation in a convenience store, QSR, grocery, or high-volume environment.
Execution and consistency mindset. Proven success running an established menu to spec — strong on standards, portioning, and repeatable results. This role is about flawless execution, not creating recipes or menus.
Comfortable working the line. Able to jump in and produce the menu to standard during peaks or staffing gaps.
Food safety knowledge. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe required).
Kitchen administration. Experience managing inventory, ordering, cost control, and labor/scheduling.
Sales & loyalty mindset. Coaches the team to promote loyalty/rewards programs and drive upsells and suggestive selling.
People leadership. Proactive recruiting, building a strong bench, and a track record of training and retention.
Strong organization & communication. Able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced kitchen.
Dependable and results-driven. Accountable, reliable, and motivated by hitting targets.
Flexible schedule. Availability for some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as the business needs.
Bilingual a plus. English/Spanish is helpful but not required.

Experience & Education

Experience in kitchen, deli, or food service management
Hands-on food production experience (comfortable working the line)
High school diploma or equivalent
