Deputy Director

About Venture House

Venture House is a nationally recognized, community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering adults living with mental illness on their path to recovery. Through access to affordable housing, employment, education, civic engagement, and the arts, we help individuals build meaningful, independent lives.

Responsibilities:

Report to Clubhouse Director
Work collaboratively with Director to ensure compliance of City and State requirements
Work collaboratively with Director, staff, and program to ensure effective facilitation of Work Ordered-Day activities and compliance with Clubhouse International Standards
Collaborate with the Director in the recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of staff.
Facilitate individual supervision of Clubhouse Staff, taking a strength-based approach to professional development, identifying training needs, and promoting teamwork
Support the Director in strategic planning and program development
Monitor program performance indicators, member engagement, and outcome measures to ensure continuous quality improvement
Lead staff meetings, group supervision and unit planning meetings assigned
Foster a culture of recovery, member empowerment, accountability, and inclusion throughout the Clubhouse
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, referral sources, employers, educational institutions and external stakeholders
Assist in identifying and pursuing opportunities for program growth, member employment education and housing initiatives.
Support recruitment, orientation, and engagement of members in all the Work-Ordered-Day
Document service delivery in electronic health record (Foothold/Awards)
·Train staff in the maintenance of health records and adherence to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) guidelines
Oversee outreach efforts
Provide direct service to members regarding case management, crisis intervention, collateral contacts, and various supports as appropriate
Complete monthly data collection to monitor trends in census, attendance, and outcomes
Ensure accurate reporting of data to DOHMH and other entities as appropriate
Assume Leadership role in the absence of Clubhouse Director, including responding to external entities, managing day-to-day operations, and any potential crises
Communicate expectations to staff and members regarding organizational obligations
Assist Units in developing Unit Projects and identifying associated tasks
Facilitate the development of work opportunities for members among all Units.
Take a lead role under the guidance of Director in implementing special projects
Maintain confidentiality of staff and members
Other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor's degree or comparable years of experience in the field of in Social Work, Psychology or related profession required. Knowledge of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practices. Experience providing case management or supportive services to adults living with serious mental illness.

Supervisory experience required. Master's degree and Licensure preferred.

Valid Driver's License required
