We are currently seeking a Full-Time Vial Packaging Operator to join our team in Port Washington, NY.

The ideal Vial Packaging Operator will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multitask and be able to have keen attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities for this position include:

Inspection/Labeling of Allergenic Extracts as per SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
Traying of all Allergenic Extracts after inspection and labeling is completed and ready for Quality Assurance release
Cross trained into Packaging Operator duties to assist as needed in packaging of tablets & PRE-PEN® Plus Kits
Use of the following SAP functions: COR2 Release of Process Orders, MIGO Goods Movement, COR6N Single Screen Entry of Confirmations, MB90 Output Processing for Mat. Documents, MB51 Material Doc. List, MMBE Stock Overview and QGA3 Print inspection results
Assure efficient workflow of products
Must work together as a team to achieve department goals set by Vial Packaging Supervisor & Packaging Manager.
Required to attend periodic cGMP/SOP training sessions as well as company meetings
Must interact with Vial Packaging Group Leader & Vial Packaging Supervisor for efficiency of product/process flow within department
Individual must be able to accomplish each assignment with acceptable performance
Must conduct themselves in a manner according to ALK’s employee handbook
Must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with SOP’s and cGMP’s
Thorough knowledge of all Packaging Department SOP’s
Other duties may be assigned

Skills and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, no experience necessary
Individual must be able to accomplish each assignment with acceptable performance
Occasional need for some lifting of trays less than 20 pounds
Ability to follow detailed instructions effectively
Ability to perform all area tasks with little direct supervision
Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities to meet departmental goals
Well-developed organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Excellent math aptitude
The ability to read/write English is required
