Experienced Server

Masons Steakhouse | Quincy, Massachusetts

Masons Steakhouse is seeking an experienced, professional, and hospitality-driven Server to join our team. We are looking for someone who understands the standards of a high-end steakhouse and takes pride in delivering exceptional service from the moment guests arrive until the end of their dining experience.

The ideal candidate is confident, personable, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail. You should be comfortable working in an upscale dining environment, guiding guests through the menu, making thoughtful recommendations, and creating a memorable experience for every table.

Responsibilities

Provide polished, attentive, and personalized service to guests
Demonstrate strong knowledge of our food, steak selections, menu items, and beverage offerings
Guide guests through the menu and confidently make recommendations
Maintain a high level of professionalism and hospitality throughout the dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar
Demonstrate knowledge of wine, cocktails, spirits, and food pairings
Properly handle special requests, allergies, and dietary restrictions
Anticipate guests' needs and maintain close attention to detail
Ensure tables are properly maintained and service is timely and organized
Work closely with fellow servers, bartenders, hosts, managers, food runners, and kitchen staff
Handle guest concerns professionally and work with management to resolve issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and polished dining environment
Follow all restaurant policies, service standards, and food safety procedures
Assist with opening and closing responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

2+ years of serving experience in an upscale, fine-dining, or high-volume full-service restaurant preferred
Experience in a steakhouse or similarly elevated dining environment is a strong plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service
Wine knowledge is highly valued
Ability to confidently describe menu items and make recommendations
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays
Toast POS or comparable POS experience preferred
