Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Case Manager (fluent in Mandarin) is a support role responsible for the logistical and administrative aspects of legal cases, ensuring efficiency and organization by coordinating tasks, managing client communication, organizing documents, and tracking deadlines. Case Managers serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved working closely with Case Manager Assistants and Senior Case Managers. The right candidate for this position must be fluent in Mandarin.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manages a 30-40 caseload of personal injury files initially, ramping up to 60-70 once experienced
Conducts initial intake interviews with clients to gather relevant information and assess eligibility for legal services and acts as primary point of contact for client
Develop case plans and strategies in collaboration with the Case Manager Supervisor and/or Operations Manager and includes medical treatment plan
Maintains regular communication with clients, medical providers and insurance adjusters for updates and to gather documentation
Requests and review medical records, bills, and police reports
Draft correspondence
Supports attorneys with case preparation and file organization
Communicates with clients, sends welcome packets and explains timeline expectations
Ensures statement deadlines are calendared and filed
Works closely with Senior Case Manager and Case Manager Assistants and delegates to Case Manager Virtual Assistants as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent education required
Fluent speaking and reading in Mandarin required
Experience working in a law firm or legal setting preferred
Proficient in using legal research databases and case management software preferred
Knowledge of legal procedures, regulations, and principles preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
