General Construction - Laborer

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour

Position Overview

At MCE, you’re not just another laborer, you’re part of a team building real infrastructure with opportunities to grow. As a General Construction Laborer, you will support ground-up projects across civil, telecommunications, and electrical scopes. This role is critical to keeping job sites productive, organized, and moving forward.

You will work alongside experienced crews, gain hands-on experience, and contribute directly to building essential infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist Foreman and crews with daily construction activities across civil, telecom, and electrical projects

· Support civil work including excavation, trenching, grading, formwork, rebar, and concrete placement

· Assist with installation of EV infrastructure and telecommunications systems

· Operate or assist with equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, and other job site machinery

· Perform general site work including material handling, cleanup, and site organization

· Maintain a safe, clean, and productive job site in accordance with company and OSHA standards

What We Expect

Consistent attendance and punctuality and strong work ethic
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail
Strong communication and ability to follow direction from the foreman
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Requirements

2–5 years of construction experience (civil, site development, or commercial preferred)
Clean driving record; ability to pass background check and drug test
Experience working under a foreman on active construction sites
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50+ lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn

Preferred (Not Required):

Class A is a plus!
Experience operating heavy equipment (mini-excavator, skid steer, excavator, backhoe, etc.) (A strong plus)
Electrical or telecommunications experience
Experience on EV or infrastructure projects
