Full Job Description

Flying Hills Company designed a desirable community nestled in the scenic green hills of southern Berks County with beautiful wooded and golf course views. Flying Hills is conveniently located close to major highways. Our community includes the Flying Hills Village Center with numerous retailers, 60 acres of open space, tennis courts, playgrounds, biking and jogging trails, and of course a public golf course.

The Pro Shop Manger is responsible for the day-to-day operations to the Pro Shop. The candidate should possess a background in business and marketing, have knowledge of the game of golf and deliver excellent customer service to ensure an exceptional golf experience. The candidate needs to have superior organizational and communication skills and must be able to work flexible hours including evening and weekends.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversee daily retail & inventory management.
Manage point of sale (POS) system.
Staff Leadership: recruit and train as needed, schedule and supervise attendants
Customer Service: ensure a high standard of hospitality is provided for all members and guests
Operational Coordination: book tee times, register players for events & enforce course rules
Event & Tournament Support: assist in organizing, promoting and executing tournaments and
leagues
Marketing: social media posts (IG & FB) website, email blasts & posters to increase play and members.
Financial & Rounds Accountability: green fees, memberships, merchandise, tournaments.
Request and maintain sufficient inventory and supplies
Communicate with Golf Course superintendent tournament preparation and course closures.

Required Skills/Abilities:

2 – 4 years of management experience in retail, hospitality, sports or club environment
Technology Skills, proficiency in POS software, Golf Now helpful.
Golf industry knowledge, rules and trends.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Be present at Pro Shop approximately 20-30 /week in season
Must be able to traverse all areas of golf course in all types of weather
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
