We are an established and growing pediatric multidisciplinary outpatient therapy clinic serving children throughout Jefferson County and surrounding communities. Our team provides individualized, play-based Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Feeding Therapy, along with specialized services including AAC and Dyslexia evaluations.
We are currently looking for exceptional, compassionate, and child-focused occupational therapy professionals to join our growing team.
Licensed Occupational Therapists (OT/L) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) are both encouraged to apply. OTR/L and COTA candidates are welcome.

Our occupational therapy department serves children with a wide variety of developmental and functional needs, including:
- Fine motor development
- Visual-motor integration
- Visual-perceptual skills
- Handwriting and pre-writing skills
- Sensory processing and regulation
- Emotional and behavioral regulation

- Attention and task participation
- Motor planning and praxis
- Bilateral coordination
- Coordination and body awareness
- Functional participation in age-appropriate activities

- Dressing, grooming, and hygiene

- Feeding participation and mealtime routines
- Adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
- Developmental delays
- Autism and other developmental disabilities
Our multidisciplinary environment allows occupational therapy professionals to collaborate directly with SLPs, PTs, feeding therapists, families, physicians, educators, and other members of the child's care team when appropriate.
What You'll DoOccupational Therapists (OT/L)
As an Occupational Therapist at Freedom of Speech Therapy, you may:
- Complete comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and reevaluations
- Identify functional strengths, limitations, and areas of need
- Develop individualized and measurable plans of care
- Establish functional and medically necessary treatment goals
- Provide engaging, play-based, evidence-based occupational therapy
- Select and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Monitor patient performance and progress toward established goals
- Complete progress reports, reevaluations, and other required clinical documentation
- Provide caregiver education and individualized home recommendations
- Collaborate with other therapy disciplines and members of the child's care team
- Supervise OTAs when assigned and appropriate
- Participate in discharge planning and recommendations
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical collaboration
Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA)
OTAs are an important part of our occupational therapy team and may:
- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized plans of care established by the supervising OT
- Carry out therapeutic activities and interventions designed to address established functional goals
- Collect objective treatment data and monitor patient performance
- Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Communicate patient progress, concerns, and changes in performance to the supervising OT
- Assist with caregiver education and home recommendations as directed by the OT
- Collaborate with members of our multidisciplinary team
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development
- Help make therapy engaging, functional, individualized, and meaningful for each child

QualificationsOccupational Therapist (OT/L)
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Missouri Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for Missouri licensure
- NBCOT Certification preferred but not required
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Missouri Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for Missouri licensure
- NBCOT Certification preferred but not required
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
