Who We Are
Guidepost Counseling for Wellness is a trauma-informed and neurodivergent-informed group therapy practice in Redding, California serving adults, couples, kids, teens, parents, and families.
We work with ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, PTSD/CPTSD, emotional dysregulation, parenting stress, school stress, relationship conflict, overwhelm, and life transitions.
We are building a practice culture where clinicians do not have to work in isolation. We want a team that can think deeply, document clearly, hold risk appropriately, support families with both compassion and structure, and help newer clinicians grow into stronger clinical thinkers.
Guidepost is not trying to become a high volume therapy mill.
We are building a clinically serious, emotionally safe, practical, and structured practice for families and individuals who need more than vague support.

Who We Are Hiring
We are hiring a Clinical Supervisor / Associate Development Lead who wants to help strengthen the clinical quality, emotional safety, accountability, and execution of our team.
This is a blended clinical and leadership role.
You will carry a clinical caseload while also providing formal supervision and support to associate clinicians. This role is not designed to be a mostly administrative position. It is designed for a clinician who wants to keep doing meaningful clinical work while helping newer clinicians grow in confidence, clinical judgment, documentation, and treatment planning.
We are especially interested in clinicians who bring depth in one or more of the following areas:
- Somatic therapy or body-based trauma work
- Trauma treatment
- DBT or skills-based treatment
- High-risk teens and family stabilization
- Parent coaching
- ADHD and neurodivergent-informed care
- Attachment and relational work
- Couples or family systems
- EMDR, ART, Brainspotting, IFS/parts work, EFT, Gottman, CBT, or related modalities
- Clinical training and associate development
You do not need to have every specialty. We care more about your judgment, regulation, humility, and ability to develop others.

- Wants to help build a practice culture where clinicians are supported and challenged

This Role Is Probably Not For You If
This role is probably not the right fit if you are looking for:
- A fully remote, low-contact role
- A role with minimal documentation expectations
- A mostly administrative supervisor position
- A role where supervision is mostly emotional processing without structure
- A role where clinical leadership means rescuing clinicians instead of developing them
- A role with unlimited admin time
- A practice that avoids hard conversations about client care, risk, follow-through, or documentation
- A role where you work independently without contributing to team culture

What You Will DoDirect Clinical Work
As a Guidepost clinician, you will:
- Maintain a productive clinical caseload
- Provide therapy within your scope, training, and clinical areas of competence
- Support Guidepost’s work with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, neurodivergence, parenting distress, couples/family conflict, and emotional dysregulation
- Complete timely, individualized, clinically useful documentation
- Participate in consultation and team culture
- Communicate early when a client, case, schedule, note, or system is becoming stuck
Clinical Supervision
As a supervisor, you will:
- Provide formal supervision to associate clinicians as approved by the BBS and Guidepost
- Help associates strengthen clinical conceptualization, treatment planning, documentation, risk assessment, and client engagement
- Support clinicians in moving from reactive intervention to thoughtful formulation
- Help associates identify treatment-interfering patterns, safety concerns, family dynamics, and next clinical steps
- Give feedback that is clear, direct, respectful, and usable
- Help clinicians hold complexity without becoming overwhelmed, avoidant, or rigid
Documentation and Quality Support
You will also help support clinical quality by:
- Reviewing and signing associate notes as assigned
- Supporting documentation quality, medical necessity, clinical accuracy, and risk documentation
- Helping identify documentation patterns that need coaching or correction
- Supporting a culture where notes are timely, specific, and connected to treatment
- Helping associates understand documentation as part of client care and liability protection
Clinical Leadership
You will help Guidepost build stronger clinical culture by:
- Participating in clinical consultation and associate development
- Supporting emotionally safe accountability
- Helping create clearer treatment pathways and clinical standards
- Supporting clinical training, onboarding, and internal systems as needed
- Helping clinicians stay connected to meaningful, life-giving work
Expected Weekly Structure
Final hours may vary depending on fit, caseload, and practice need.
A typical structure may include:
- 20–22 completed clinical sessions per week
- 2–3 hours of formal supervision per week
- 1–2 hours of documentation/chart review per week
- Additional approved leadership/admin time as needed
Non-client leadership/admin time is capped unless pre-approved.
Compensation
Pay: Up to $65.00 per hour
Guidepost uses a two-rate structure for this position:
Clinical/Supervision Rate — $55–$65/hour
Applies to:

- Approved clinical consultation led by the supervisor
Leadership/Admin Rate — $40/hour
Applies to:
- Note review
- Note signing
- Chart audits
- Documentation follow-up
- Internal planning
- Approved meetings

This structure is designed to keep the role clear, sustainable, and financially responsible while compensating clinical supervision as high-value clinical leadership.
Final compensation depends on licensure, experience, supervision eligibility, clinical fit, caseload expectations, and role responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Active California license as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist
- Eligibility to provide therapy services in California
- Meets California BBS requirements to supervise associates, or is able to become eligible before beginning supervision responsibilities
- At least two years of licensed clinical experience
- Strong documentation habits
- Ability to provide direct, respectful, structured feedback
- Comfort working with complex clinical presentations
- Commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
- Willingness to work within Guidepost’s clinical and documentation systems
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Prior experience supervising associates, trainees, interns, or early-career clinicians
- Experience with high-risk teens, parent-child conflict, trauma, ADHD, anxiety, or family systems
- Training in somatic, trauma-focused, DBT, EMDR, ART, EFT, Gottman, IFS, Brainspotting, or attachment-based models
- Experience reviewing documentation or supporting clinical quality
- Interest in helping build structured programs, treatment pathways, workshops, or intensives
