Duties

Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
Supervise and coordinate staff activities, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
Oversee food safety procedures, sanitation practices, and compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize profitability.
Support training and development of team members in culinary techniques, safety protocols, and hospitality standards.
Collaborate with the management team to plan menus, monitor kitchen performance, and implement process improvements.
Ensure smooth shift transitions by overseeing staff scheduling, POS system operations, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision with a strong background in cooking and food preparation.
Extensive knowledge of kitchen management, food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and culinary techniques.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing hospitality teams or managing food service teams effectively.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong understanding of POS systems, cost control measures, and financial operations within a restaurant or food industry setting.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence and team collaboration.
Previous experience in catering, banquet services, or dietary departments is a plus; familiarity with managing shifts is essential.
