Full Job Description

We are seeking a capable, experienced professional to help manage our two Adult Family Homes. This is not a typical caregiver role — we need someone a step above who can step in, and keep both homes running smoothly so the primary manager can focus on other aspects of the business.

The Role

You will split time between our two homes (roughly a couple of days at each per week), providing hands-on management support. Your focus will be on day-to-day operations, staff oversight, resident well-being, compliance, and overall smooth functioning of the homes. The goal is to meaningfully reduce the management load currently carried by the owner.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations and ensure high standards of care and home environment
Support and guide staff so the homes run efficiently and calmly
Handle or assist with scheduling, communication with families, documentation, and routine administrative tasks
Identify and resolve issues proactively before they escalate
Maintain a warm, professional atmosphere for residents and team members
Step in as needed to keep everything on track across both locations

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in Adult Family Homes, assisted living, or similar residential care settings
Strong people skills — you communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and handle both residents and staff with respect and professionalism
Natural ability to manage and organize so homes operate smoothly without constant oversight
Reliable, trustworthy, and self-directed
Someone who takes initiative and genuinely wants to lighten the load for the owners

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AFH professional who wants more responsibility and impact without carrying the full weight of ownership.
