Job Posting: Account Manager

Compensation:

This position will have a base salary and highly leveraged incentive plan. On target can double base. Total potential compensation with commissions could range from $75,000 - $150,000/year.

Responsibilities:

Vendor Management: Maintain Alvarez’s partner incentive programs and manage the registration of all OEM pricing opportunities.

Client Support: Support Federal Government client accounts throughout the sales cycle, to include periodic visits and onsite meetings, either on a standalone basis or teamed with an assigned Account Executive.

Pipeline Support: Assist with territory and pipeline planning, and monitor bid opportunities and prepare and submit accurate and competitive proposals and quotes in response to customer requests for the same.

Order Fulfillment: Process customer orders and coordinate fulfillment activities to ensure timely delivery, and proactively monitor open orders to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact customers.

Customer Service: Assist customers with order status inquiries, returns, exchanges, credits, and warranty requests, and provide prompt, professional, and solution-oriented customer service at all times.

Sales Generation: Conduct proactive outbound prospecting through phone calls, email campaigns, and follow-up communications, and identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships and generate new sales opportunities.

Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and detailed customer information, opportunity tracking, and activity history within Alvarez’s CRM platform.

Team Player: Interact routinely with all levels of management, infrastructure POCs, staff, and customers, and follow through on taskings.

Tools: Proficiency in Salesforce and ConnectWise is preferred.

Experience:

Proven Federal Sales Success: A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in sales roles within the Federal IT sector, or equivalent business development or account management experience.

Success in Value-Added Reseller Environment: Direct experience selling technical products and solutions through VAR channels into the Federal Government. Must have a level of understanding of how VARs interface with OEMs, distributors, and Federal end-users to create value and close business.

Quota Achievement: A verifiable track record of meeting or exceeding sales performance metrics, with documented revenue growth and account expansion achievements in the Federal market.

Strategic and Technical Acumen: Basic understanding of commercial IT in Federal environments, including networking, data center, cloud, cybersecurity, and healthcare IT.

Communication and Influence: Must be able to represent Alvarez in strategic customer and partner meetings and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Entrepreneurial Drive and Growth Mindset: Comfortable operating in a growth-stage environment. Must exhibit initiative, adaptability, and a hunger to scale revenue and evolve repeatable sales processes.
