Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented 3D CAD Operator to join our innovative design and engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise 3D models, detailed schematics, and construction documentation using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Your expertise will help translate conceptual ideas into accurate technical drawings and models that support building projects, system designs, and manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects across architecture, engineering, and construction sectors, ensuring building code compliance and high-quality deliverables.

Duties

Develop detailed 3D CAD models and schematics using software such as SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
Generate construction detail documentation that adheres to project specifications and building codes.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce accurate building information modeling (BIM) and system design layouts.
Assist in creating visual presentations through 2D animations or graphic designs that effectively communicate design concepts.
Conduct building code analysis to ensure all designs meet local regulations and safety standards.
Support system design efforts by integrating mechanical, electrical, and structural components into cohesive models.
Review and revise CAD drawings based on feedback to ensure precision and clarity in all deliverables.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and Bluebeam for markup and collaboration.
Strong experience with 3D CAD modeling and building information modeling (BIM) tools for architectural or engineering projects.
Knowledge of construction detail documentation processes and construction experience preferred.
Ability to perform building code compliance checks and analyze schematics for accuracy.
Skilled in drafting techniques with an eye for detail in interior design, mechanical design, or system layout projects.
Familiarity with graphic design principles and 2D animation for project presentations is a plus.
Excellent understanding of engineering CAD design principles combined with effective communication skills to collaborate across disciplines.
