Senior FreeCAD Engineer - AI Trainer

Job Summary

In this role, you'll apply your engineering expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how AI models learn, reason, and solve complex engineering problems through high-quality, real-world CAD data. No prior experience in AI is required—your domain knowledge is what matters.

Key Responsibilities

Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD according to project requirements.
Develop and optimize mechanical assemblies using industry best practices for assembly design and component integration.
Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure manufacturability and product quality.
Produce accurate technical drawings and engineering documentation for manufacturing and design review.
Conduct engineering quality assurance (QA) reviews of CAD models and drawings, identifying and resolving design issues.
Utilize Python scripting for CAD automation and workflow optimization when applicable.
Collaborate with project teams by providing technical feedback on model accuracy, design intent, and engineering improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, industrial engineering, or a related field focused on parametric CAD modeling.
Advanced proficiency with FreeCAD or another parametric CAD platform.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including GD&T and DFM best practices.
Experience creating technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
Ability to perform engineering QA and verify CAD model integrity against project specifications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Python to automate CAD workflows or modeling tasks.
Familiarity with product development, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly processes.
Experience collaborating on distributed engineering teams and reviewing complex CAD designs.
