Full Job Description

Our company is seeking a detail-oriented Technology Systems BIM Coordinator to develop, coordinate, and integrate technology systems into architectural BIM models. This role serves as the primary BIM coordination resource for technology systems projects, working directly with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal design teams to ensure technology infrastructure is accurately represented, coordinated, and constructible within the building environment.

The successful candidate will support the integration of audio visual, broadcast, low-voltage, telecommunications, network infrastructure, large-format display systems, and related technology systems within multidisciplinary project teams. Responsibilities include model development, clash detection, interdisciplinary coordination, documentation, and construction support throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Author, model, and maintain technology systems Revit families and BIM content, including equipment, racks, conduit, cable tray, penetrations, devices, and annotation.
Integrate technology system models into architectural BIM environments, ensuring proper hosting, levels, room assignments, and coordination with project standards.
Produce and maintain coordinated models, plans, elevations, sections, schedules, bills of materials, and construction details.
Coordinate technology system geometry and spatial requirements with architectural, MEP, structural, civil, and IT/network teams.
Participate in interdisciplinary BIM coordination meetings and represent technology systems interests throughout the design and construction process.
Run and manage clash detection workflows using Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or equivalent platforms; document issues and drive resolution with project stakeholders.
Enforce BIM standards, naming conventions, file structures, templates, and QA/QC procedures.
Support drawing production and issuance of coordinated drawing packages for design review, procurement, and construction.
Create and maintain shared parameters, parameter mapping, schedules, and data exchanges including IFC, COBie, and other project-specific requirements.
Assist engineers and designers in translating technology system schematics into model-based deliverables.
Provide Revit and BIM support, guidance, and training to internal team members.
Support construction coordination, field reviews, and as-built documentation as required. ·

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

3–7 years of experience modeling and coordinating building systems in Revit, preferably within technology, low-voltage, telecommunications, electrical, or MEP disciplines.
Proven experience coordinating discipline models within architectural BIM environments and participating in multidisciplinary coordination and clash resolution processes.
Proficiency with Revit, including families, templates, shared parameters, schedules, and model management.
Proficiency with Navisworks and BIM collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or equivalent.
Working knowledge of technology systems infrastructure, including audio visual, broadcast, low-voltage, telecommunications, structured cabling, equipment rooms, conduit, cable tray, and pathway coordination requirements.
Strong understanding of BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and project coordination workflows.
Excellent coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to quality deliverables.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience coordinating technology systems such as audio visual, broadcast, network infrastructure, large-format LED displays, structured cabling, control rooms, equipment rooms, and related low-voltage systems.
Experience with Dynamo, Revit API, or other BIM automation tools.
Experience with IFC, COBie, and project data handover requirements.
Prior experience supporting institutional, higher education, sports and entertainment, commercial, healthcare, or large-scale public assembly projects.
Autodesk Revit Certified Professional or related BIM certifications.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree in Architectural Technology, BIM, Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent professional experience will be considered.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

Full-time position.
Evening and weekend work required on occasion.
Travel required on occasion.
