About ClearRiver

ClearRiver Inc. is an environmental consulting company that helps clients develop, fund, manage, and implement natural resources projects. Our work includes water quality, wildlife, habitat restoration, wildfire mitigation, environmental assessments, federal grants, reporting, compliance, and project implementation.

Position Summary

ClearRiver is seeking a Natural Resources Office and Project Technician with a background in science and strong professional writing skills.

This person will assist with emails, assessment reports, federal grant applications, project reports, research, document preparation, and general project coordination. This is a broad support position for someone who can move between scientific, administrative, and writing assignments as company priorities change.

Responsibilities

Draft professional emails, reports, assessments, grant applications, work plans, budgets, and supporting documents.
Research environmental topics, federal funding opportunities, regulations, and technical requirements.
Organize field notes, photographs, maps, data, and project records.
Track project deadlines, reporting requirements, budgets, and outstanding information.
Review documents for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance.
Coordinate meetings, field visits, vendors, contractors, agencies, and project partners.
Maintain organized electronic files, spreadsheets, calendars, and project trackers.
Assist with the full range of ClearRiver’s natural resources, environmental, grant, and project implementation work.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, natural resources, wildlife, hydrology, geology, chemistry, or another related scientific field. A comparable combination of scientific education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
Strong professional writing, editing, research, and communication skills.
Ability to understand scientific information and explain it clearly in written reports.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing deadlines with limited supervision.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, email, and electronic file management.
Ability to protect confidential information and verify all facts, calculations, and sources.

Federal grant, environmental consulting, government, GIS, or technical report experience is preferred but not required.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Work Location: Remote
