Full Job Description

1.0 SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for all customer relationships, the sales of all vibration system products and services to a designated sales territory focused in the MidWest and Eastern areas of the United States.

2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning:

· Preparation. Familiar with the designated areas, its industries, existing and potential customers, competitive activities and all other factors that may influence the company’s business within the area.

· Forecasts and Plans. Prepares weekly and monthly forecasts for the sales of products and services within the area and updates them weekly. Develops plans and makes recommendations for the growth and development of the company’s business.

· Funnel management. Manages and maintains a funnel of sales opportunities in Salesforce.

Customer relationships:

· Existing customers. Develops and maintains positive relationship with all customers; understands their needs and presents company solutions. Manage customer contact information and activity through Salesforce.

· Prospective customers. Identifies prospective customers and cultivates constructive relationships to enhance future opportunities.

· Associations. Actively participates in industry associations that are important to the company’s business.

Selling:

· Direct selling. Actively involved in the direct sales of company’s vibration system products and services, including prospecting, defining customer requirements, preparing quotations, closing orders and insuring customer satisfaction.

· Independent sales representatives. Identifies representative firms that will enhance the company’s direct sales efforts, recommends their hiring and supervises their activities.

Technical:

· Customer Support. Assists the Customer Service Department, as necessary, with maintenance, calibration, repair, installation and training support within territory.

· Proficiency. Develops and maintains sufficient technical proficiency to demonstrate the operation and explain the advantages of the company’s products and services.

· Engineering. Provide application engineering and customer support services as required from time to time.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Remains abreast of significant issues, trends, technological developments and competitive factors that may affect the company’s business.

· Assumes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Travel:This position requires travel.

3.0 SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

Must be able to perform dynamic performance calculations on equipment. Computer skills are a requirement. Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

4.0 EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year College or University and a minimum of 3 - 5 years of outside sales experience.

5.0 TEAM ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions for improved efficiency and service.

6.1 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, talk, hear and sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle and/or feel objects and use hands and arms to reach objects or materials. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

6.2 WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the production area is usually loud.
