We're looking for a detail-oriented, dependable accountant who enjoys helping people and thrives in a client-focused environment.

Position Summary

The Part-Time Accountant will support our tax resolution team by preparing tax returns, analyzing financial records, and assisting with client casework. The ideal candidate has solid tax preparation experience, excellent organizational skills, and enjoys working directly with clients to help them navigate challenging tax situations.

Responsibilities

Prepare individual and business federal and state tax returns.
Review financial records for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with tax resolution cases by gathering and analyzing financial information.
Communicate with clients to request documentation and answer tax-related questions.
Maintain accurate client files and documentation.
Collaborate with attorneys, enrolled agents, and other team members to support client cases.
Stay current on tax laws and IRS regulations.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the client experience.

Qualifications

3–4 years of professional tax preparation experience required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of individual and small business taxation.
Experience with tax preparation software (such as Drake, UltraTax, ProSeries, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
