Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Specialist and become a vital part of our financial operations! In this energetic role, you will manage payroll processes with precision, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Your expertise will support our commitment to compliance, data integrity, and efficient payroll management across diverse organizational needs. Responsibilities

Process payroll using leading software platforms such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Perform detailed data entry and account reconciliation to maintain precise payroll records.
Manage benefits administration and coordinate with HRIS systems to streamline employee information updates.
Conduct general ledger reconciliation and prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions.
Handle tax calculations, deductions, and compliance requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Support non-profit accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable related to payroll activities.
Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly.

Requirements

Proven experience with payroll management software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
Familiarity with financial concepts related to payroll processing, benefits administration, and governmental reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or similar financial tools; experience with HRIS systems is highly desirable.
Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing); ability to perform account reconciliation efficiently.
Understanding of tax regulations and experience handling tax-related payroll processes.
Strong analysis skills for identifying issues within payroll or financial data; ability to perform journal entries and bookkeeping tasks confidently.
