Telehealth Hematologist Job Post

Are you a Florida-licensed Hematologist seeking true work-life balance without sacrificing clinical impact?
Join our innovative telehealth team and provide essential, specialized hematology care to patients in post-acute settings across Florida. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise remotely, manage your own schedule, and maximize your earnings through our performance-based RVU model.

Set your own consultation schedule within our standard service hours, which include Monday to Friday and some Saturdays. We require a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week or 40 hours per month, giving you the flexibility to manage your schedule, maximize your earnings, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What You'll Do

Conduct comprehensive virtual consultations for patients in post-acute care facilities across Florida.
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide spectrum of hematological conditions, including anemia, clotting disorders, blood cancers, and other complex blood-related diseases.
Develop and adjust evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications, managing transfusions, and overseeing chemotherapy regimens.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including complete blood counts (CBCs), coagulation studies, and imaging, to guide treatment decisions.
Collaborate closely with on-site nurses, facility medical directors, and primary care providers to ensure seamless transitions of care and effective hematological management.
Provide clinical leadership and guidance for hematology care programs within partner facilities, promoting best practices and optimizing patient outcomes.
Ensure meticulous and timely documentation of all patient encounters within the EMR/EHR system in compliance with all relevant Florida and federal regulations.
Educate facility staff on best practices for hematological care, including treatment adherence, medication management, and patient education.

Position Information

Florida-Licensed Hematologist (1099, Remote Telehealth/Post-Acute, RVU-Based)

Location: 100% Remote (Must be licensed in Florida)
Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Schedule: Self-Directed, Highly Flexible Hours (Part-time or Full-time availability)

Qualifications & Requirements

Active Florida Medical License: Must hold a current, unrestricted MD or DO license in the State of Florida (a dealbreaker!).
Board Certification: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology.
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a completed hematology fellowship.
Experience: Proven clinical experience as a practicing hematologist. Prior telehealth or post-acute care experience is a strong plus.
Proof of Liability Insurance: Must provide a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) as evidence of active professional liability (malpractice) coverage upon contract signing.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable and proficient using telehealth platforms, secure communication tools, and various EMR systems.
Communication: Excellent "webside" manner, strong communication skills, and the ability to build rapport virtually.
