Vice President, Talent Acquisition Optimization

Location: Remote

Reports to: SVP, Workforce Operations

Role Overview

The Vice President, Talent Acquisition Optimization is a highly visible enterprise leader responsible for transforming and elevating a 55,000+ hire‑per‑year, high‑volume recruiting engine. This role drives continuous improvement, process optimization, and strategic project execution across both TA Delivery and TA Operations. The VP partners closely with senior TA leaders to identify operational gaps, design and implement scalable solutions, and deliver measurable improvements in hiring speed, quality, recruiter productivity, and overall execution. This position requires deep expertise in high‑volume talent acquisition and the ability to diagnose complex operational challenges and drive results at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Lead enterprise-wide continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives across TA Delivery and TA Operations, identifying inefficiencies, designing solutions, and driving implementation that improves hiring speed, quality, and recruiter productivity.
Serve as senior project leader for cross-functional strategic initiatives, managing complex programs from scoping through execution with clear timelines, milestones, and accountability.
Partner with VP Talent Delivery and VP TA Operations to assess performance, diagnose operational gaps, and develop actionable plans addressing recruiter capacity, process standardization, technology utilization, and demand readiness.
Analyze operational and delivery data (time‑to‑fill, time‑to‑cart, recruiter capacity, conversion rates, attrition, SLA performance) to identify trends, inform recommendations, and build performance frameworks that drive accountability.
Provide senior-level TA delivery expertise on high‑volume hiring challenges including surge operations, client escalations, staffing model design, and complex delivery scenarios, with the ability to engage directly when needed.
Build enterprise readiness through development of playbooks, SOPs, enablement tools, and training content that elevate execution capability across the TA function.
Lead and develop a high-performing team of project managers, setting expectations for execution excellence, prioritization, and delivery of enterprise optimization initiatives.

Scope & Impact

Supports an enterprise high-volume TA function delivering 55,000+ hires annually.
Leads multiple optimization initiatives and special projects simultaneously across TA Delivery and TA Operations.
Regularly partners with SVP, VP, Sr Director, and Director-level leaders across TA, Operations, HR, Finance, Technology, and external vendors.

Decision-Making Authority

This role exercises significant autonomy, including:

Prioritizing optimization initiatives based on data and enterprise needs.
Determining project approach, sequencing, resource requirements, and stakeholder strategy.
Identifying delivery risks and determining appropriate interventions or escalations.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Deep expertise in high-volume TA delivery and operations, including large-scale hiring environments.
Advanced capability in continuous improvement, process optimization, project management, and change leadership.
Strong analytical skills with experience translating data into operational action and accountability.
Knowledge of TA technology ecosystems (ATS, CRM, automation, reporting platforms) and proven ability to drive adoption.
Ability to influence senior leaders and drive accountability without direct authority.
Success managing complex, ambiguous initiatives in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
Strong business acumen with the ability to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term scalability.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
10+ years of progressive experience in high-volume Talent Acquisition, with significant depth in delivery operations, process improvement, and/or operational leadership.

Work Environment

Primarily a remote, office-based role with work performed in a sitting environment.
No significant physical requirements; minimal travel.

Pay: $116,000.00 - $217,000.00 per year
