Full Job Description

Field Account Manager / Estimator

A local landscaping company is looking for a Field Account Manager / Estimator to join its Sales and Service team. This role is focused on building strong client relationships in person, conducting property walks and audits, identifying enhancement opportunities, preparing quotes and estimates, and helping ensure each property is maintained to a high standard. The right candidate will be comfortable spending much of their time outdoors, meeting with customers face to face, and working closely with internal teams and subcontractors to deliver excellent service.

We use a unique customer service model built around small teams called tribes. Each tribe supports a specific group of customers and includes a Field Account Manager, an Account Manager, and an Admin. The Field Account Manager is the in-person leader for the customer relationship, handling site visits, audits, enhancement opportunities, estimates, and face-to-face meetings with clients.

Job Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt
Work Arrangement: Primarily in-person with field-based work
Salary Range: $52,000 to $60,000 annually

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular in-person interaction
Conduct property inspections, audits, and site walks to identify service needs and improvement opportunities
Identify, create, and help develop enhancement opportunities for existing clients
Respond to customer requests related to enhancements, pricing, and property improvements
Prepare estimates, quotes, and scopes of work for enhancement opportunities and related services
Meet with clients on-site and attend board meetings, general meetings, and other customer meetings as needed, including some outside regular business hours
Monitor properties for issues such as irrigation problems, weed growth, pruning needs, dead plants, and overall maintenance quality
Work closely with internal teams and subcontractors to coordinate enhancement work and service-related needs
Help ensure assigned properties and accounts are in good order through proactive follow-up and communication
Maintain and update software records, reports, notes, estimates, and account information as needed
Manage multiple properties, priorities, and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment
Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Additional duties and projects as needed

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn company-specific software and database systems
Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and collaborate effectively as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate professionally with customers and help manage concerns effectively
Ability to spot issues on properties and proactively recommend solutions
Ability to prepare quotes, estimates, and scopes of work with accuracy and attention to detail
Willingness to walk properties and work outdoors in all weather conditions
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in customer service, account management, estimating, field service, construction coordination, property services, or a similar role
