About Us
Pokrajac Corporation is a leading General Engineering Contractor with over 40 years of experience in heavy civil construction, including excavation, grading, paving, and utilities. With facilities in California, Nevada, and Colorado, we are recognized for delivering quality projects on time and within budget. As we continue to expand our operations in Northern Nevada, we are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our team.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Office Assistant with a strong background in construction accounting and experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and data entry. The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting both office and field operations.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and document management
Process Accounts Payable: code invoices, manage vendor payments, and reconcile statements
Process Accounts Receivable: prepare billings, track payments, and maintain customer accounts
Assist with job cost tracking, reporting, and project documentation
Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to resolve billing or payment discrepancies
Support payroll and HR-related functions as needed
Maintain accurate and organized financial and project records in accordance with company policies
Provide administrative support to project managers and field personnel

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on AP/AR
Construction accounting background required (job costing, vendor invoicing, progress billing, etc.)
Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with ComputerEase or HeavyJob preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Team-oriented, professional, and dependable
