Full Job Description

Job Title: Director of Program Quality and Data

Department: Program

Reports To: Chief Program Officer

FLSA Status: Exempt

Revision Date: June 2026

Position Description:

The Director of Program Quality & Data leads Eddy House’s data systems, quality assurance, HMIS administration, grant reporting, strategic plan tracking, and cross-departmental project coordination. This role strengthens data integrity, supports compliance and reporting needs, trains staff on documentation expectations, and ensures program information is accurate, timely, and useful for decision-making and continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions may include the following or other duties as assigned:

Lead and maintain Eddy House’s HMIS and program data systems.
Improve data tools, forms, reports, dashboards, workflows, and database structures.
Develop clear standards for data entry, required fields, documentation, and reporting.
Translate program, funder, HMIS, and grant requirements into practical tools and processes for staff.
Monitor program data for missing, late, incomplete, or inconsistent information.
Work with program leaders and staff to correct data issues and improve accuracy.
Train staff on HMIS/database use, documentation standards, reporting requirements, and quality assurance practices.
Coordinate with external HMIS partners, funders, vendors, and system administrators as needed.
Manage data collection, review, and coordination for government grant reporting.
Maintain grant reporting calendars, required data elements, supporting documents, prior submissions, and reporting records.
Collaborate with Program, Development, and Finance staff to ensure service, outcome, narrative, and fiscal reporting information is complete and aligned.
Prepare tables, summaries, dashboards, and report materials for leadership review.
Support quality assurance efforts, including documentation reviews, internal audit preparation, and corrective action tracking.
Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards for leadership, the Board, funders, and program teams.
Track progress on Eddy House’s Strategic Plan goals, timelines, deliverables, and key performance indicators.
Coordinate organization-wide projects assigned by the Chief Program Officer or CEO.
Support consistent staff use of Asana or other approved project management tools.
Facilitate project meetings, document decisions, track follow-up items, and monitor deadlines.
Supervise assigned staff responsible for HMIS, data quality, reporting, project coordination, or related support functions.
Promote accountability, accuracy, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across programs and departments
Maintain professional, client-focused, and effective communication.
Assist others as requested and perform related duties as required.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Maintain a professional and courteous appearance and demeanor.

Requirements/Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor degree in public administration, nonprofit management, data systems, evaluation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in nonprofit program operations, HMIS administration, data systems, quality assurance, compliance support, government grant reporting, evaluation, or project management.
Demonstrated experience leading database workflows, data quality improvement, reporting processes, staff training, or system implementation.
Experience supervising staff, assigning work, providing feedback, documenting performance concerns, and supporting accountability.
Experience with HMIS, Apricot, Salesforce, Asana, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar systems strongly preferred.
Experience with government grants, program reporting, performance outcomes, or funder documentation requirements strongly preferred.
Required: Ability to pass a background check.
Valid Nevada driver’s license and reliable vehicle with current vehicle registration and insurance.
Must demonstrate high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite and high degree of computer literacy.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and in a calm and pleasant manner.
High level of organization and attention to detail with demonstrated interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and write checklists, reports, and correspondence. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, memos, etc.
Ability to analyze and perform complex computations with reasonable speed and accuracy. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Compensation and Benefits

This position is budgeted at $65,000 annually and includes Eddy House's comprehensive benefits package.

100% employer-paid health insurance premiums for employees.
95% employer-paid dependent insurance premiums.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, stand, walk, bend, drive, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus working with computer business equipment and while driving. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion. The noise level in the work environment is usually low level.

The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort and occasional light exertion. There is occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, and temperature changes.
